LONG ISLAND/HUDSON VALLEY BENEFIT GAMES FOR THE MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION AND THE HOWIE FRAJBERG MEDICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION It is a game greatly anticipated by all hoops fans in the Metro NY area. Loaded with talent, both regions will do battle to prove who are the “Kings & Queens of the Court” in Metropolitan New York. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25th Christ the King Regional High School 2:00 PM - GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BENEFIT GAME 4:00 PM - BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BENEFIT GAME ADMISSION: $10 CYO/AAU/JHS/PAL Team members - if you are 3rd - 7th grade and wear your teams uniform top - admission will be $5. Watch some of the best players in the state and in the country and represent your school or program. Cecil Watkins Lifetime Achievement Award for boys - HOWARD GARFINKEL Howard Garfinkel is one of the most influential figures in the grassroots basketball scene. From starting the High School Basketball Index as a scouting service to making Five Star a must-see destination on the recruiting trail, Delores E. Brajevich Lifetime Achievement Award for girls - CECIL KING, JR. Cecil King, Jr. has been a fixture in girls basketball in the New York City area for over 30 years. Cecil has dedicated his life to providing the young women of NYC with quality coaching and instruction. One of the finest people in the game today. The Metro Classic Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented at half time of each game. Howie Frajberg MVP Award for boys The MVP award for the boys game is named for Howie Frajberg, Coach, Fan, Player and longtime advocate for basketball of all levels in the Metro NY area. Joseph C. Smith MVP Award for girls The MVP award for the girls game is named for Joseph C. Smith, a pioneer in journalism in women's basketball. The MVP awards will be given out following the end of each game as voted on by the media covering the game. |

Long Island & NY State Softball Hall of Famer Debbie Brajevich and the Silver Bullets Softball program will be giving fielding clinics throughout May, June, July and August. 3x All American, 2x National Champion, Debbie is one of the best softball players to have come from Long Isand and brings her knowledge and experience to Long Island's young players.
